SONGS AND DANCES FOR THE CARNIVAL

Verve and vitality are the characteristics of the concert  on Sunday, February 26, at 17.30, at the Teatro La NuovaFenice in Osimo: a “Songs and Dances  for the Carnival” starring the soloists of the Academy of Art opera and the Academy of XIX Century Dances of Ancona, with pianist Carlo Morganti. Donizetti’s up to open the evening with festive chorus of women of the Favorite, then Rossini with its most brilliant songs – Spanish Canzonetta, the Orgy, and the irresistible Tarantella -, and Verdi with the witches of Macbeth and arias from Brindisi chamber. French raid in the work gives the opportunity to listen to famous songs, such as the Barcarolle from Offenbach’s Tales of Hoffmann and the air bells from Lakme by Delibes, or less busy, like the Waltz Mireille by Gounod, the Bolero Delibes and the air of Urbain by the Huguenots by Meyerbeer. The operetta arias from the Danube will offer Bat Strauss jr., The Princess of Czarda Kalman and the Land of Smiles by Lehar. It also hears a Musetta waltz, but from Leoncavallo’s Bohème, where the brilliant and charming friend Mimi has a mezzosoprano voice. A special moment will be created by the kiss of Arditi, the famous song by dragging waltz rhythm, which will be danced by the Academy Dancers Dances XIX Century, in their elegant period costumes. They are also given other choreutic moments of the evening, which will rebuild the atmosphere of a dance of yesteryear.
