On the 8th June at 21.15, at the cloister of the Monastery San Francisco the final concert of the academic year of the Academy d’ Arte Lirica will take place. With the name Opera in Concerto the programme will vary from the great composers of melodrama Rossini, Donizetti, Verdi to Giovanni Pacini, the protagonist of the Italian opera of the first part of the XIX century and Jules Massenet. The soloists of the Academy , accompanied by Alexander Benigni will present the scenes from the operas: arias, duets, terzettos, ensembles and will show the achieved level of every student as a result of everyday study during the academic year from November to June, 5 days a week , under the thorough control of authoritative maestros and docents. The programme consists of famous operas of Verdi like Macbeth, Rigoletto, Aida and also less known like A One- day Reign and Lombardi at the first Crusade; from Rossini the comic The Turk in Italy and serious Tancredo; from Donizetti the middle character Linda di Chamounix, tragic Saffo of Pacini ; brilliant Manon and exotic Thais of Massenet.
The challenge of the young artists will be the penetration into the character, feelings, style and various genres. We are eager to know the names and the nationalities of the new comers who will choose to complete their study at the so called ” University of Opera Singing”.The Academy is well known all over the world for the excellent level of teaching, for the providence the world of Opera with the best talented artists, for being the economic and social motor of a cultural town, where the Academy does the cultural proposal. The entrance is free. In case of bad weather the concert will take place in the hall San Francisco, adjoined to the cloister. These days the applications for the new academic year 2018- 19, the 40th year of the Institution of Osimo will start to be accepted
